Well you divide 0.6 cm / 100 = 0.006 m
The second answer is completely wrong.
You can do this as a single unit multiplication by 0.10 or multiply by 1/10.
Then use this single unit multipler two times so you get
Step 1: >> 0.6 * 0.1 = 0.06 First pass
Step 2: >> 0.06 * 0.1 = 0.06 Second pass multiplying by only one unit.

1 cm = 1/100 meter
1 meter = 100 cm

Therefore, just multiply 0.6 by 0.01 to get 0.006 meters. Or, divide by 100.

Or you can use the converter: http://anduin.eldar.org/~ben/cgi-bin/convert/mc_fi.pl
