Miss N. I have lived in Mauritius and understand Creole (to hear it) fairly well. I am fluent in French and English so that helps. I know a few things in Creole, but have never learned much of the structure of the language. It is actually not a difficult language when one already speaks French. I love the fact that it is phonetic. The rules are much simpler than French as well. Don't feel that I don't understand the vocabulary of the phrases that you have given me. I do. Making phrases out of what I know and expressing myself in the language is another story. That is why I am asking you, the Mauritians. (My Mauritian friends mostly talk to me in French).
