Have you ever visited someone in prison? WHO??

I've not actually visited--but i worked at a maximum security prison for men for 5 yrs.--I worked in the compound 2 yrs. an then went to the (field)--taking inmates out to work-(hard labor)--I was a gun guard--I rode a horse an carried a minnie14 rifle--there were 4 gun guards and 2 pushers for each crew of about 125 inmates! We had 4 crews! I felt really sorry for alot of the family an friends that came on visiting day-( especially the MOM's) it was hard on them.

I have brought a family member to visit there dad in prison and it is very nerve racking on them. I offered to go in with them but they just wanted me to waite outside the room they got to go inside to talk to there dad in. It was very hard on her and i was glad to be there for her.

Yes, when I was a child my parents corresponded with a prisoner on death row. One time I went with them to visit him.

Yes... I visit a good friend in prison all the time. He was wrongfully accused, but I guess they all say that. Only problem is, he's telling the truth.

I had to do 15 months for this thing I did......Anyway, place was horrible, almost got shanked, and I tried to shank a guy who was comptemplating getting frisky in the shower. This biker dude that was in there for some methlab bullsh*t, told me about it, but the next time I was in the shower , the frisky guy kept his distance. I don't like that stuff, and there is alot of that going on. I used to think that was only a prison rape thing, but there are alot of guys that have no problem doing gay sh*t in there. It's nasty. One of my buddys I met in there, who is still in prison but a different one, got his *** kicked for trying to piss through the bars, on the screws (C.O.s) as they walked by. Same guy made a pet out of a cat that used to show up at the kitchen, and a c.o. got wind of this and threw the cat in the trash compactor.- Very f*cked up sh*t, thats why he would try and piss on them. It is a horrible place. I used to cry and scream in my pillow some nights. I saw a ghost a couple of times also in my cell. Then when I got a cellmate, motherf*ker used to pull me out of my cot by the ankles in the middle of the night, or throw water from the toilet all over me when I was sleeping. I finally beat the sh*t out of him with my dictionary. Then he stopped it. He was a muscle dude, I heard he was in for beating up a cop, and then smashing every window on the cop car, because he was juiced up. Prison is horrible, and the people in thier are scary.

Had to bail my dad out once and talked to him thur the glass and could not help but make jokes the whole time
