I am 2 months behind in rent and have very bad credit. I am a single mother and need $2000 by Friday or I will get evicted. I don't have any family I can go to. Does anyone know someone who can help me immediately?

I dont know what state you live but most have a social services office. You should go there immediately and get setup for food, food card, medical assistance and rent relief.
Also ask them about temporary housing, not homeless shelters, but housing for women in temporary distress. Do it now. Do not wait until the sheriff arrives at your door.
I saw a website called: http://www.thinkcash.com/Default.aspx?gcid=C19355x002&keyword=think+cash
They say they loan up to $2,000. Also www.cashcall.com loans money on bad credit as well. Best of luck to you.

So am I, honey. Landlord's kicking me out just because the lease ended, and I have four children. Just got divorced last year. I don't even have enough money for both rent and deposit for a move. I'm already on welfare - the whole stack of cards, and social security... I'm disabled. In spite of that, I even tried to get a job, and was put out for the past three years. All of that is barely enough to get me by, and in my area, they DO NOT HELP with housing AT ALL. I've already contacted United Way and Red Cross, and I've heard absolutely nothing from them, and my family's 200 miles away, and nearest homeless shelter is 30 miles away.... and I'm without a car, plus they DON'T provide transportation. So.. the advice that you just got before I posted here can be very helpful to you... It's a pity I've already tried all of that recently and was pushed away. Count yourself lucky that you don't live in my area.

You can call the United Way and the Red Cross, neither may themselves be able to assist, but they can refer you to those that can. In my area there is an outfit called Crisis Assistance Ministry for helping those in emergency need. They are supported mostly from area churches and do get some money from the governments in the area.
