Ah, we're not.
That applies to the courts, the laws, and governmental policy.
It does not mean everybody is equal (that would be a fantasy),
it means that laws must be applied consistently to everyone.
(though it doesn't really)
edit. Really? you think everyone has the same intellect, physical strength, good looks, skills, etc?
That's demonstrably false.

We are all equal in that we all have the same human value as created being to the creator.
We are not equal in having all the same rights. For instance I have the right to drive a motorcycle on the freeway at night because I have a license, you probably do not.
We are not equal for all opportunities. For instance I may have an opportunity to be a pro athlete with my skills but you may not because you lack the skills.

Well, it seems that people that come to the US from a lot of other countries (including those that do not even use the same alphabet) manage to learn English when they come here. Except one group. We have to make special accommodations for them. All these other people are capable of learning, but this one group is not.
So, I guess when it comes to intelligence, no, not everyone is created equal.

it depends what you're referring to. no, of course we're not all created equal in terms of intellect, physical appearance, ability..etc. if we were the world would be pretty dull. but i think the idea of equality exists when we're thinking about what we deserve, the fact that we all have an equal right to be here. no one life is more or less valid than another.... so in that respect, yes. i believe in equality.

I don't believe we were all created equally, clearly some people are better looking than other people, or some people are smarter than other people. However, I DO NOT believe that certain ethnicities or a certain gender is superior to another.

we aren't all created exactly the same, the human race is very diverse (different heights, weights, skin hair and eye colors, etc) i do think that everyone should be treated equally though.

I'm superior to everyone :D lol
We weren't created equal and some people are betters than others. I'm sorry it may be hard to accept, but it's a fact of life.

We can all learn a lesson from children, If you put a white baby, and black baby, an asian baby, and a hispanic baby in a sandbox together, then they will play. The won't look at each other as being "different", they will play.
