If Pacific salmon is a completely different order than Atlantic salmon, the true salmon, why do they taste so similar?

They both are salmon. They are the same species, and the variations between the two aren't really that different.

All salmon , even fram raised have a similar taste. It's because the basis of bodily similarities are also identical in all salmon.
