Sounds like the 'clumsiness' in the dream is your awkwardness over your feelings for your crush. Clumsy can mean uncoordinated or not prepared, not trained. Because they are making you feel 'awkward' and you don't know how to handle it, you feel clumsy.
Thus, when you did something 'clumsy' in class, it made you feel even more awkward, so much so that you had to mention your crush noticing. The fact that you noticed your crush's reaction is why I connect the clumisness with your feelings for them.
