Also my friend is attempting to make a choose your own adventure movie so it might help him as well.

They're harder than they look to make! I'd suggest writing one storyline straight through. As you're writing, mark different places where the story could split off by a different choice.

Then, go back to the first place where a different choice could be made. Then repeat the same process as above until you have a number of complete storylines. (I'd try for three to start, then go from there.)

Once you have the stories all written, then you can split them up at the choice points, doing the whole "if you go right, turn to page 42, but if you go left, turn to page 75."

Good luck! This is a lot of work.

Just do it. Begin the story, then arrive at a point where you want to offer multiple options, then again and again wherever you think the story calls for multiple options. Pax - C.
