Offense: 7.5 (I'm a bit worried about your steals, but overall, good)
Pitching: 7 Depth is the issue here. You could have a good pitching staff, but you could very well bust
Overall: 7

C- Victor Martinez--Elite catcher...certainly top-3, probably number 2
1B- Prince Fielder--could have a break out year, but he is not a proven star
2b- Chase Utely--Nice pick. No 2B is close.
SS- Miguel Tejada--Not what he was, but still an elite SS
3B- Hank Blalock--Let's see if he can bounce back. If not, you have Wigginton and 3B is so deep that you'll be fine
OF- Grady Sizemore--5-tool stud; look for a great season
OF- Alex Rios--Solid OF
OF- Nick Swisher (1b)--A bit weak; he gets so much publicity from Moneyball, but he's not that good in fantasy
UT- Micheal Cuddyer (1b, OF)--Underrated this year because he lost 3b eligibility. He's still young, so you could see big things.
BN- Brad Hawpe (OF)--OF in Colorado--play him at home!
BN- Troy Tulowitzki (SS)--Play him at home! Big-time prospect, let's see what happens!
BN- Ty Wigginton (1b, 2b, 3b, OF)--Batting clean-up in a position to get a lot of RBI...TB's lineup really is fairly solid.

SP- John Smoltz--Is he 100 years old yet? That said, if he puts up a year like last year, that would be huge.
SP- Felix Hernandez--This is the King's year. Can he challenge Johan for Cy Young?
RP- JJ Putz--Elbow problems already...ugh. Among the best when healty
RP- Chis Ray--Among the best. Baltimore is a solid team with good pitching, and a great pitching coach
P- Joe Borowski--does two things--raises blood pressure and gets saves. Probably a good value pick for saves.
P- Rich Hill--Could have a great year for the rejuvenated Cubbies
P- Ervin Santana--Let's see if this is his first of many big years. He's certainly capable of it, as seen in his rookie year.
BN- Kelvim Escobar--Well, you know what you're getting. He may be the first pitcher I would drop on your team.
BN- Jeff Francis--No longer in Colorado spells success?

Your team could easily compete in your league. With a bit of luck and some good free agency acquistions, you could win. Good luck!

Solid team all around - I would probably put Hawpe in at OF and Swisher to first for now - but that's just me... also you will probably lose steals each week - but that's just one category so no biggie there... as for pitching I'm not a big fan of Ervin Santana but getting Escobar is great to have him as a backup...

Overall i would rate your team an 8/10

With this way of hard determination, i think of you could desire to examine various the values heavily. right here is the 4 persons that are maximum expendable on your team: Travis Hafner (Util), Gary Matthews Jr. (OF), Shane Victorino (OF), and Placido Pollanco (2B) I bumped off alternative positions from this checklist because you will in no way be waiting to truly recuperate their fee off waivers/FA. Now, right here is the explanation why I advise which you commerce a mixture of Hafner and Polanco/Matthews Jr.. a million. Hafner's potential numbers are down, yet he's specific to trend up because of fact the season progresses. even although, he's going to have comparable numbers to Victorino so some distance as runs and widely used, jointly as Victorino facilitates you with SB. additionally, Hafner's UTIL is mostly a minus in roster flexibility. finally, Hafner's call fee will help you get a real tier SP. 2. Polanco or Matthews Jr.: evaluate the two men and curiously like Polanco is the apparent commerce candidate (adjustments of 9 HR, 7 RBI, and 9 SB). even although, Polanco has one considerable benefit to Matthews Jr....batting order. he's a 2 spot as against 5 spot hitter Matthews Jr. it is 30 or so extra ABs to offer. the two of those applicants ought to bypass, however the apparent answer is Polanco. suggestions: i does not subject approximately closers. do not waste skills to get one guy at an particularly risky place. Scour the waiver twine for low-value saves, yet do not possibility too plenty. extremely, equipment Hafner and Polanco (Matthews Jr in case you want extra umpf on your supply) for a Cole Hamels or Derek Lowe, or a Aaron Harang and Randy Wolf commerce.

I guess you must not have had a great draft posistion at the start.
On offense I see a pretty good average, decent runs scored and RBI's. OK homer power. I see a big problem with a lack of base stealers. But in head-to head leagues it won't hurt you as much.

On pitching I don't like your relief pitchers very much. You have pretty good back-end starters in Santana and Escobar, which will help in weeks that they pitch twice.

I see a mid-level finish.
