On my Wii. I have a Kingston 512mb Sd card. I have sucesfully put Photos movies and mp3 files on it and viewed them in the Photo channel. When i go to options the data managment it doesn't show that there is an Sd. I've seen that if you have one a picture of one apears next to the picture of the wii and gamecube memory cards on the "data management" box. Is there a problem or what do i have to do? I want to make copies of saves for backups obviously.

You need the firmware update first. Then the SD function will open up. You'll need high speed internet and a wireless router. You can hook it up to the computer directly but I don't know the brand of wire that works with it.
You can also tell if you don't have the Shop, Weather, and News channel running.

the sd card only work when you are downloading games off the vc. the boxes will be empty unless you have game save on your sd card and no there is nothing wrong with your wii.
