I don't really know... My husband wouldn't stop talking so I missed who she was... I was wondering the same thing myself tho. I can only assume that those were tears of pain during Sanjaya's performance... Or maybe she's jealous that his hair is better than hers? I dunno. Good luck in your quest for the truth.

She's 13-year-old Ashley Ferl from Riverside. The family won tickets for a taping of "Smarter Than a 5th Grader" on a website. The tickets also included attending the dress rehearsal for Idol. At the dress rehearsal young Ashley turned on the waterworks and producers quickly noticed and asked the family to attend the live taping.

they didn't say her name. When sanjaya went, simon refered to her as " the girl who says it all" thats all they really said about her, and then she got to hug sanjaya.
My guess is that she really really liked sanjaya and decided people would feel "bad" for her and then she decided to cry the rest because tshe could get more contestants hugs.
But from my point of view she is a loser and someday on her 30th birthday one of her friends will show this and totally embarrass her!
but thats only my opinon

I don't know but when Sanja(sorry i forget what's his name) started singing they put the camera on her in the audiance and then when they were all through singing they brought her up on the stage and she was still crying!! i guess she was a fan of evryone there, I THOUGHT SHE WOULD NEVER STOP CRYING , it was kind of weird that they did that though.

I think she was staged. Just look at where she was sitting. It was probably one of the best seats there. I really do think it was all fake.
