I got all my information from my friends and experience.
My friends got all their information from other friends, or otherwise uninformed people.
Most of my female friends in 7th grade were on a mission to have sex. One of them had been having sex since 4th grade.
One of my friends in high school had a little sister whose best friend was already having sex (and dressing like a hoochie) - in 5th grade. And Emily (my friend's little sister) felt that she should start getting with boys, too.
However, I wasn't really aware of my vagina until I was having sex with it. I knew that I got my period, but I didn't really get it until it was happening. I was two weeks away from my 14th birthday.
My mother never talked to me. (She didn't even raise me from the age of 5 until 12.) My grandparents were in their 50s when they adopted my mother, so by the time I came along (the result of a young woman who didn't know that if she had sex without a condom she could get pregnant), they were up there. They were of the generation that NEVER EVER talked about sex. So they never talked to me about it either, and what little I did learn from them was that nudity in general was dirty, that sexuality was dirty. They didn't even sleep in the same bedroom.
I didn't realize boys had different body parts until I was in 7th grade. I didn't even know what a penis looked like until the afternoon I lost my virginity.
When I was little, I thought my vagina was where the pee came from. No one bothered to correct me.
I was molested when I was very young (I was either 2 or 3) by my cousin. I never told anybody until I was 10. I was also molested by my friend's father when I was 12, and nearly raped by a boy I thought was my friend at the beginning of 8th grade.
I'll be 20 in two weeks. When I have children (and by some miracle, considering the amount of times I had unprotected sex when I was younger, I have neither children nor STDs), I hope and pray that I will be able to make sex a healthy thing for them, for them to realize that it isn't dirty or bad, but something very special that should happen between two people who love each other, and are ready for the commitment that sex implies. I also want them to know the names of ALL their body parts.
(And yes, I'm shocked that I have such a good attitude toward sex, given all that has happened to me and all that I've done in the past.)

I'm in my 40's, but when I was a teen, I heard alot on the school bus! Most of my information came through magazines such a Seventeen, Teen, ect... I read alot of books at the library and of course, my mother and grandmother were pretty opinionated about this subject, too.

I am not a teenager anymore, but I remember only getting answers in the 5th grade for our school's sex talk. We got another one in 9th grade, but the school got rid of the program for lack of funds. My teenage sisters have not had any talks about sex in school...they have only read a book on it. As far as family goes, we have discussed it with them. However, teenagers don't usually like to open up entirely to their families in that way! A lot of other things they have learned from "experienced" friends. Scary! Thank God they have not gone down that path yet.

Well, I am a grown woman who has grown children but I wanted to share this. My Mom was good about telling me about menstruation and my periods. I used sanitary pads, but when I asked about Tampons, my mom purchased them for me. We had a dog named Happy, and my Mom bred her. Well, dogs get pregnant during their heat, or while they are bleeding. That gave me the idea that as a woman I would only get pregnant when I had my period. My Mom never had mentioned anything about that. I got pregnant at 16 with my daughter and I was married 5 days after I was 17. Funny story?? It is true. â¥â¥

I got some info from my mum, but most of it came from Cosmo and the internet...it was just more comfortable for me that way.
I don't like asking friends too often because then I find out way much more than I want/need to know.

The internet. I don't have a "strong" relationship with my mom, and I can't talk to her about ANYTHING because she will tell EVERYTHING, even though she says she doesn't. I don't have anybody to talk to, so I go to my last resort, and that is the internet. At least I am smart enough to not ask my friends...

Well, I think that get information about sex, it is not very complicated, it was not before and it is not now. But, who is going to teach you about feelings, crushes, loosing virginity, dumping your couple?
Because sometimes the only thing that you hear is wear a condom, that is all what you get. And in the world we live, I do not think is enought
