flash cards are all well and good if you're good at memorizing, but doing it that way may not ingrain it into your head permanently. The best way is to learn it's context and use and really understand what the words mean. Associate the word with something you're familiar with and you'll have a much easier time at remembering and KNOWING what the words mean, rather than simply memorizing it for a quiz and forgetting it the next day.
Another thing that really helped me in school, not only with vocab, but for any subject, is helping/teaching others. If you're able to study with someone and help them understand them, it winds up reinforcing it in your head.

Well this is what I always do... I take a piece of paper and divide it into half. On one side I write the word and on the other the definition. I either look at the defintion and try and guess the word or vise versa! Hope it helps!

here are some suggestions:
1. write them on flashcards
2. ask a friend or sibling to quiz you on them
3. study the morning of the test. get up early, eat a good breakfast, and try to use flashcards to study your words

They always told us that note cards are good for memorizing but i always like studing with a friend because sometimes they dont know somthing and you do and you can explain it to them. So if you can explain what it means to someone than thats the best way to know the words.

Write as many sentences as you can, using each new word.
This will enable you to completely understand the meaning and usage, which should stick with you.
