I'm trying to plan a trip for the fall. I was thinking about going to the Galapogos Islands on one of those little cruise/tour boats for 10 days, or maybe to Greece where my friend has a home on the island of Andros.

I've never been to either. Any suggestions? Right now, my thought is that Greece will always be there, so maybe I should enjoy the Galapagos now- before it gets trampled by too many tourists.

Galapagos will be my choice.
It is once in a life time trip, i think
As your friend has a house on beautiful Andros, you can always go there.

Hands down Greece. Galapagos is great but is also boring. Its good to go as a one day excursion from a cruise. If you make a whole trip out of it its really boring. Greece however has more than you can probably handle, but less than you want to if your looking to relax. Andros is a beautiful island and is the perfect medium I would say. Plus nearby islands also make it fun to do the usual "island hopping" with a group. Greece is by far the best choice!

It's true that Greece will always be there. The Galapagos Islands, on the other hand, have species that aren't found anywhere else and that, for now, aren't afraid of humans so you can get very close to them:

It really depends on what you want to see. If your into historical places and cultural sites, then Greece is probably the place that you should go to. If you like environmental stuff, though, then the Galapogos are better. I would personally prefer to go to the Galapogos.

Go to Greece. Much more to do far more fascinating as a whole. Their public libraries will amaze you about past centuries.
