Under your hypothesis, the vast poplation of workers in downtown LA (where there are banks, law firms and insurance companies, mostly) must be morons. Because there's a Starbucks 1 block up the street from my building, and it's the busiest in all of L.A. Most mornings the line is out the door.
Personally, I generally make my own. We used to have a coffee cart downstairs but they got rid of it for some reason.
