I have the lead role or Troy in our high-school's musical, which is, as cliché as it could be, "High School Musical."
I'm trying to memorize the dance moves to "Get Your Head In the Game," but every time I start learning the dance moves I get overly confused and stop being able to sing and dance cohesively. I literally develop two left feet in that song. I need to know some technique that might help me memorize dance moves in time with the music... or something like that. Thanks for your feedback.

Try to find a tape player (if your music is on tape) or a computer program or a CD player that can slow your music down for you. Then practice your dance moves without the music, very very slowly! Then put it to the music. Gradually bring up the speed until you can put the actual recording on. This will help you get your moves in time, and the more you practice it, the more you'll remember! It works, I promise, I did the same thing in dance class, and it worked perfectly!

Good luck! I think my school might do HSM next year? Not sure. Hope everything works out!

I would immediately try to find music that is like what you are listening to now. find somthing that is rithmicly the same and try to get the feel. forget everything else for a while and just feel the rythem of it or you won't be able to integrate it into the rest of what you are doing. if you know how to sing then that's not it. it is the dance you have trouble with, so get better at that first.
