I can honestly say that wasn't me. I was my own person from day one until the end. I never tried to be someone I wasn't. I didn't care if people didn't like me because of it. I just went through school for my education and that was that.

They want to be accepted...just the same as the clones on here. They want to not be different and have the other kids mock them, make fun of them, or put them down for their uniqueness.

I HATE that.....because when one person sees someone they like and want to be friends with, they try to become like that person to get close to them.......which takes away their real identity...and most of the times the ones that get "cloned" are the mean girls........so you get all these you-know-whats everywhere..........personally, it annoys me to the point of screaming.....I like to stay true to who I am and not give a crap about how "cool" someone else may be......my friends are the ones who love me for who I am and not people who like me after i become their "clone"

It wasn't when I was growing up. It's the socialist liberal school officials that want the clones. They don't want anyone to question their authority, like the @zzhole administrator that suspended the student that had "Bong hits 4 Jesus". Wasn't even on school property.

The problem is that they may have a low self esteem so they try to change others so they can feel better of themselves. Instead of trying to makes things better for themselves, they just look for potential "problems" in other people so they feel good about the things they do.

It's not just high schoolers. The vast majority of people in general just want to fit into society.

personally i was wuite happy being myself and doing my own thing. I think its cause they are young and havent figured out who they are yet, so they figure, hey ill just be like you. copy everything that you do,,, and not like you. Highschool sucks.. college is more fun, people have identities then

Peer pressure and the desire to fit in. Individuality is not encouraged at schools.

One thing that people should always remember is that they are unique.
Just like everyone else.
