U.S. reported Craspedacusta Sowerbyi in 1908, it was well-known in England at that time. Cnidaria can be Corals, Stingers, and jellyfish.

So no, Craspedacusta Sowerbyi is actually an attempt to more specifically name the freshwater jellyfish.

It is a type of Cnidaria, but Cnidaria is a broader range of taxonomy, and Craspedacusta is a certain species of a genus. Therefore more specifically named.

Anthozoa is actually the true coral name, and anemones as well as sea pens, but this is far into genus names, and not species.

Cubozoa is the box jellyfish with complex eyes and the ones with potent toxic stingers which can be painful and can cause shock and respiratory inflammation and failure.
Hydrozoa, and Scyphozoa, are the true jellyfish, and fire corals and such.
