I'm from america and am doing a report on british tv shows and was trying to figure out if castaway was like the american survivor. are people voted out? is there prize money in the end? i tried to look on the website but it didnt really explain all of it. and if there are any suggestions about what shows to include in my report that would be amazing! thanks!

people do get voted off and there is a prize at the end not sure the amount though,ive just started getting into it so im a bit none the wiser myself but its quite good.

Hey! Castaway was the first reality TV show in the uk, originaly for the yr 2000 were about 30 people were placed on a scottish island for a year including children. This time the partcipants are on a New Zeland Island for 3 months and a new person is being brought in for the last 4 weeks (which u can apply through radio 1) im not sure about prize money as the origns of it was to see how people build into a community!! hope that helps.
