I wabt to take the governor off and the day time running lights can you tell me how?

There is no mechanical govenor on your car, its top speed is computer controlled. Some of those speed limits are adjustable but if 85 or 90 in a sunfire isn't fast enough for you I'd suggest life insurance. As for the running lights, sometimes you can remove the relay or fuse but often then you end up with something esle that won't work properly, like the headlights.

The day time running lights shouldn't be more than a switch replacement or some kind of disconnect, likely the Haynes or Chilton's repair manual details out the repair procedure and you should be able to figure out the rest.

The governor, I don't know much about that.

the top speed is controlled by your computer and to get rid of that you have to have the computer re-programmed by a performance program that I don't even know is available for your car. The driving lights could be put on a seperate switch.
