How to deal with a rude coworker, and when does it become harassment?

I have a very lazy rude co worker who tries to order me around but is the bosses pet. the other day he told me that I better get the dung out of my ears. I am fed up with this jerk how do I deal with this.

Keep a file of what he says and when he says it (like in a diary). then, after a sufficient number of entries, go to your supervisor with a photocopy of what is said and when it was said.

If he will will not act, then go to the bosses boss.

After a couple of days, see what action they have taken.

It ought to stop.

If the employee threatens you because of your action, report him to the manager and then to the police.
