What would happen if you lowered a water-filled balloon into a deep fryer?

It will not be a good experience for you. Once the water hits the grease the grease is going to boil up over the top of the fryer and it's going to splatter all over. Grease burns? Not pretty! I am a former cook.

Depends on te temperature of the fryer, if over 212 degrees the balloon would pop and flash boil the water. If lower than 212 degrees the balloon would swell to the density and pressure of the water at that temperature.

Assuming the fryer is on, the water would boil instantly, the balloon would explode, shooting hot fat all over everything.

the high-temperature, high-pressure water outside the balloon would try to pass onto the balloon and its lower pressure, and so the balloon would be stretched until it popped and the water inside would join the deep-fryer water.

it would pop, it's to thin to take the thermal difference and would melt as well.

the water would hit the fryer and cause a huge surge/fountain, spashing you with hot oil causing 3rd degree burns....

If you survived, plastic surgery might not even help. The balloon wouldn't make it very far into the oil before it melted.

If it was at a temperature that would make French fries it would burst and vaporize part of the water producing a mild explosion.
