Before 37 weeks, the only time that it does matter if the baby is breech is if labour begins. There are many factors that will be taken into account before advising on how to have your baby if this happens. Frequently, a caesarean section will be advised, particularly if your baby is between 27 and 30 weeks, but this is not always the case. Some obstetricians feel very strongly that a caesarean is always safer, others advise a vaginal delivery if there are no other problems.
It is generally accepted that the studies which have tried to find the safest delivery for the baby have been subject to much bias. The problems babies have when they are born early are very much related to prematurity, rather than the type of birth. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that an adequate study to discover the best type of delivery for a premature breech baby will ever be done.

If a planned early delivery is needed, for example because of preeclampsia, growth problems or another separate problem of pregnancy, then it is more likely that a caesarean section will be suggested rather than induction of labour with a preterm breech baby.

congrats

You still have lots of time, usually when a baby drops lower in the last couple weeks is when they should be head down. Besides if you get that close and the baby is still breach there are things that can be done to help the baby turn around.

My son used to be everywhere the location, peculiarly at 26-30 weeks! I had an ultrasound at 32 weeks due to the fact that I used to be measuring colossal, and he used to be breech at the moment. I spent the following three weeks stressful that he wasn't going to show. At my 34 week appointment he used to be nonetheless breech, and my health care professional stated that if he did not flip via the following week they could have got to attempt to flip him. Well, it became out that I went in for my appointment at 35 weeks and he determined to show and used to be head down and ready to be born! Don't fear....your child nonetheless has tons of time to show head down and get equipped! Best needs

I wouldn't worry about it at all.. your baby still has TONS of room to move by the time you're in you're past 32 weeks or so.. the chance of the baby turning is less.

It will also depend on whether this is your first, second, third, etc pregnancy. My 2nd child wasn't head down until 37 or 38 weeks. If she had been my first, the story would've been different.

Don't panick just yet! My baby, now 8 weeks old, stayed breech until about 35 weeks and then turned head down and stayed. But just in case, think about what you want done if he doesn't turn. Most of all, relax! (Easier said then done) :)

When I went at 28 weeks my baby had turned already. My Dr said that was great but more than likely she will keep switching until around 35 weeks then she would turn and stay that way. Which at every apt. ive been to since 28 weeks shes been down. So as long as your baby turns around 37-38 weeks then youll be fine.

You have plenty of time. My little one just turned about 3-4 weeks ago, and I'm 34 1/2 wks now. There's no reason to worry unless you get to 36-37 wks and the baby hasn't turned yet!

usually within the last 4 weeks most babies will turn. our baby was in the head down position up until two days before she was born and then she turned and was in the butt first position (fetal). you still have plenty of time for the baby to turn.

Baby will flip and flop a lot over the next few weeks. Hopefully around 37 weeks, he/she will get into position if not before then!!!

Don't worry, the female body knows what it's doing. If my memory serves mine flipped around the last month. You'll drop (the baby will be lower and it will be in position) and you'll have 1 month to go. Good Luck.
