Hopped the fence, and fell flat on my face. Turns out that the grass I hopped to wasn't greener, and what I hopped from wasn't green at all. Now in a situation where I'm wondering if there is any grass at all!

The great American desire and disappointment. This is what dreams are based on that one should always try to better themselves and that the grass is always greener on the other side and once they get there, theyre disappointed to find the grass is as green as what they just left or even dead. But the desire to find somewhere where the grass is definitely greener is a great motivator in life. Chances are we will never find it but the idea of just once we might is mind blowing, so life goes on despite what may happen or not.

The grass is NOT greener on the other side, in any situation. It's all about You being content and happy. My hair was straight, I wanted it curly; Long and I wanted it short... It's universally applicable to anything! Once you DO hop that fence, you'll realize that it wasn't about Them, it's about You.
Don't worry, be happy.
BTW- When you compare things or people, you're asking for trouble!!!

I'm smart enough to know the grass is greener where you take care of it. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that don't realize that until they get over to the other side and discover the weeds and burnt grass and then it is too late.

the grass is very green on both sides.......but if you hop the fence, you better watch out for those pointy things on top...one slip and your not a guy anymore.and if your a gal, you gonna wish you was a guy

No. But there was a time I wandered what it would have been like to have been w/ someone else [I dont mean cheating] instead of him before we had gotten married. I would be stupid to risk all I have for some strange weenie. i know there have been times my husband probably thought about it if he had there would be no us.
