WHAT SHOULD I WRITE???...

Mothers’ day is coming (May 13th, America) , please tell me, is this a good idea, I sell Avon and my brother gave me this idea... (He said it would work for the men who just don't know what to get... and the men who work too late to go shopping...) make gift baskets... and do a "build your own basket" or a “You pick the price” where you tell me what you want in the basket and I put it together. And charge...

Ex.
Small basket: $2.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Medium basket: $3.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.
Large basket: $4.50 plus the cost of the Avon products.

Do you think this would work???

would it work in a small town???

PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT TO WRITE!!!!

Yes - it is a great idea. Put flyers up in local offices etc.

I would suggest that you have two choices in each price range as an example - say one for face, one for body!

or you could just have an sample of say 8 baskets at set prices and then offer the "build your own" as an option. Makes it easier.

A classified ad might be a good idea as well. Also tell your local press they might like a "filler story"

You could do it for all the holidays - especially valentines!

I think it would definitely work. It's small things like this that ends up being big. Why stop there... Let's think about birthday's and other holidays. Most people these days are looking for last minute gifts , including me. If you were selling this at my I would buy it, and I'm a woman. We to sometimes want the easy way out :)

You've got a great idea. Since the gift baskets are made to order, you might want to personalize them by adding the recipient's first name on it. Personalized gifts are very popular right now.

In your ad, you could emphasize the fact the gift is personalized. For example: "Pamper your love with a gift she'll love - made especially for her."

Good luck.

it is a very good idea and i am sure it would work. you might want to have a couple baskets made up your way with a price for samples. also remember men wait till the last minute so try to get wives and girlfreinds to make them move early and make the men think it was there idea.
