My best friend recently came out of the closet, how should I act around him, should I stop walking around naked when he's around?

First, you shouldn't be walking around naked around anyone.

And does that fact that your best friend is gay make him not your best friend anymore?? It shouldn't. If he has truly been your best friend then support him as much as possible (and I don't mean give him a BJ or something). Coming out is extremely difficult.

He came out to YOU because he trusts you, like a best friend should. Don't ruin that trust.

Just act the same way around him that you've been acting for 20 years. Treat him like he's one of the guys.

It's ok to have gay friends. Just hope he doesn't become over-effeminate, etc.

If you are comfortable walking around in front of your friends naked, I would think you will have an easier time with this than most guys would.

Just treat him like you always do. He's probably going to expect you to be a little weirded out, but he's the same person...just your perspective has changed.

I wouldn't be worried...there is nothing to worry about.

This is the same guy he has always been. It's not like he became gay overnight, he has just let you in on his secret.

You don't have to act any differently because nothing is different. In fact, acting differently will make him even more uncomfortable then trying to "be sensitive."

Question: why are you walking around naked in front of your friends anyway? Personal Boundries!!

As everyone is suggesting, he is still your friend...the SAME friend you've always had. You just know something more about him now.

And don't worry about walking around naked in front of him. He's seen it all before, and while I am glad that your self-esteem is so high that you believe nobody can keep their hands off you when you're in the nude, your fears are very much misplaced.

He's still the same guy you've known for 20 years. If you've never felt uncomfortable being naked around him before, then he probably doesn't see you "that way," and there's no reason to act differently now.
Or just tell him, "dude, I'm a little weirded out by your news, but we're friends, and it's cool, so if I act a little weird around you for awhile just ignore it, okay?"

Dont act any different around him, its not like he has a diease or anything. Just brings forth a new dynamic to your relationship.

As for the whole naked thing, if you feel uncomfortable naked around him then put clothes on.

Try to treat him the same as before. From his point of view, he's probably going through a hard time with the whole coming out process, and needs your friendship more than ever.

And this from the same guy who asked “should I wear diapers when I drink”. Having a gay friend is the last of your problems.

Maybe you shouldn't walk around him naked... or else he might think that you want him to see you because you like him.
