All the jobs available around here are in the social work type of community counseling centers. I'm a little put out by that, because it is not exactly what I want to do. Anyone have any ideas what other companies or fields might need a someone with my education?

You don't say what you are actually interested in doing. An MA in counseling until you are licensed is a fairly limited degree. Your best bet is to use the career counseling program connected to your university. They will have the greatest investment in getting you placed. You might also talk with your faculty and alumni about where your alumni get jobs. DA
