How about a few sets of fun flashcards (math, spelling, Spanish, picture, etc) -- good for a boy or girl, and something any parent would like their child to receive as a gift. Get them at any educational toy store, or any mega-mart (such as Walmart or Target) for just a few bucks.

Get her something creative like a beading kit or paint set. Kids love to use their imagination and this lets her show her personality instead of just choosing a pop-icon for her to imulate.
