Wikipedia claims the nil is the second longerst river after the Amazon River, so i would say the Amazon River was the longerst bevore the nil was discoverd.

The longest river is either the Nile or the Amazon depending on your method of including tributaries, etc. Wikipedia has the Nile first by just over 300 km.
Regardless of when any river was discovered, the longest river is still the longest river!

Discovered by whom?
For South American Indians Amazon river was always the biggest one! For German tribes it could be Rain River, for Assirians it was Eufrat, for Chineese... be more precise.
By the way, Danube is not flowing even close to Russia. It begins in Germany and flows through several countries to the Bulgaria where it ends in the Black Sea

I'm not sure, but's probably the Danube River which is 1770 miles long. It's located in Russia. It can't be Mississippi or The Amazon because the Americas were discovered after Africa was.

The Nile was always longest. Just because no one had discovered it yet didn't mean it wasn't there!
