Take a look at television and celebs. The shorter the skirt the bigger the success. Kids aren't allowed to be kids anymore. Parents are too busy with work and the up-and-coming world that they forgot the fundamentals. Like Sunday is the day of rest, and that 10 year old children are still babies. Parents want their kids to be grown so they don't have to deal with them. Hand your kid money and a cell phone let them do whatever they want. That's the moto these days. Parents and society are really the only ones that can fix this. By not allowing their daughters to have a b/f at 7 because it's cute, by not allowing their 7 year old to wear a skimpy bikini because they look adorable, by not allowing their child to watch adult films, by telling their 9 year old she is not going to dye her hair, her her nails done, wear thongs and hip huggers, and cake on the makeup. By having good fathers teach their sons that there is more to a woman than whats between her legs, and that they need to respect their mother (i believe a man that respects his mother will respect you.) The only thing we can do is teach our kids better, otherwise it's all downhill from here.

yes thats true, it's ridiculous, it's even hard for some parents to control it, because while going thru channels on tv or hearing a neighbor curse down the street, or anything a child hears they pick up. Sometimes itis the parents fault, but sometimes its hard to avoid like when they arein school, thats the first time I heard about sex, I was like 9 and this girl was tellin me about it and I said"EWW!!!" lol, which was a good response for me! I ended up going home asking my mom whats the full definition of sex. I think the teachers should make sure the "private areas" around school are also watched and noticed, so nochildren will slip over there, when I was in about 5th grade, there were many others my age going in the strairwells under the stairs doing more than making out, then bragging about what a h**oe some of them were, and again I said eww. Yeah some has to be watched good

I honestly don't know. I think you need guidance from parents that can be honest and try to get across to them what the true consequences are. I just found out that a young girl that's in the same grade as my son is pregnant. All I can do is feel sorry for her. Right now she has NO clue what awaits her. The changes she will go through. Especially now that she has a child on the way. If she decides to keep it. She has no idea that, that's when she will see how much growing up she really needs to do. It brings tears to my eyes. Kids look at t.v. and videos and believe that what they see is what life is really about and it's not. Don't try growing up too fast it's NOT worth it.

pressure form older kids and environemnt. they think its for love, but its not! they have no idea what love is. if you want someone to love you unconditionally then get a dog or a cat. a baby is a lifetime commitment and not something and one should take lightly. im almost 26 and pregnant with baby #1, and i would have absolutly no idea what to do at age 10!!!
there are clearly some deep rooted issues there! they need counseling !!!

it;s a sad and scary world we live in. my husband was telling me of a couple of 6th graders expelled for doing it RIGHT IN CLASS! can you believe it??! it;s society today....not to mention the "sex ed" classes. no one teaches abstinence anymore....it;s all about this is what it is and how you do it...just don;t forget the condom! and NO it's NOT just because they saw their parents doing it....kids have been walking in on their parents for a life time! why is it NOW that CHILDREN are sexually experienced?!
it is society....everything around us is telling us that sex is what EVERYONE is doing....and that is what it sure looks like. it's advertised on billboards, it's in tv and movies....it's in music and in their videos....it;s advertised in the way people dress...whether you like it or not, certain styles of clothing just scream "come and get it" and even if you are not "like that" you are still putting that idea in someone's head.
i think it;s even more important than EVER to be teaching morals and values in the home! i'm not saying that it will STOP people from early sexual activity, necessarily. people still make their own decisions, but maybe they will be more INFORMED and feel less pressure before they are ready.
just my 2 cents!
