If your looking for a great view and awesome entertainment go to Holiday Inn on Folly Beach..just outside of James Island you are still pretty close to Charleston about 15mins. but they have oceanview rooms for less than 120 and walking distance to shopping great dinning and nightlife....Downtown is very $$$ but your close to alot of night life, classy dining and everything is within walking distance...there is the Charleston Place, The Mills, Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn. You could also go outside of town to Mt. Pleasant which has most of your known companies for more reasonable rates. if your looking to save alot of money but still close to Charleston try looking in West Ashley, North charleston, Summerville

There is a Merhaven Bed No Breakfast in Charleston, South Carolina. It doesn't charge more than $125 per night. If you want to find one with a breakfast, go online to bedandbreakfast.com and type in your destination.

Elliott House Inn ,John Rutledge House Inn ,Harbourview Inn,Ansonborough Inn ,Governor's House Inn ,Wentworth Mansion are afew B&B's. All downtown but will be pricey. You may be able to get around $120 but I know the Wentworth starts at around $300. The Holiday Inn Riverview is near D'town and is nice with reasonable rates. Also Holiday Inn Historic District is a great location, very nice and you know what your'e getting, but will be $$$. For location and $ this may be a good start.

It depends...
Do you want to stay downtown?? Very $$$
The surrounding areas of Charleston (like west Ashley) or summerville 20 min. away are nice..
Check on a google search to look for local Charleston SC see what is around. I have always stood by a Holiday Inn and if I am correct there is one right downtown on calhoun and one on 17a
