Is this considered poor customer service?

One time when I was at Shari's Restaurant I've asked the server after she was done helping another patron if she could give me a refill and she totally copped an attitude towards me by telling me that she'll be right there and that she was really busy at the moment.

Then she later apologized for her attitude and she told me that she doesn't like it when people are calling her when she's on her way to help another customer.

Another issue I have at Shari's Restaurant is that they always tend to give you your bill as soon as your meal arrives and I feel like they're rushing me to get out and I don't consider that good customer service.

I did tip her and I've never reported her to the manager although I wish I did.

Yes it was poor customer service. She should have told you that she would be right with you and then got your refill as soon as she had taken care of the needs of customers that have asked for things ahead of you. Yes she did apologize but probably because she realized she was rude and didn't want to loose your tip. Waitress's have hard demanding jobs and depend on tips since most don't even make minimum wage. I guess we don't know what their shift has been like before we sit down at the table. That is no excuse for poor service but maybe we should take that into account when it happens. We all have bad days at work. I don't think I would say anything to the manager since she apologized but if she didn't and the service got worse then Oh Yea I would be asking for the manager. Remember when you get bad service instead of not tipping at all leave a penny that way the waitress will know you were unhappy with her service and that you didn't just forget to tip her

Yes it was considered poor customer service for what the way the server treated you while you were asking her for a favor, I don't really believe she was really sorry for what she did either and I think she only apologized in her own favor.

If I were you I would've reported the incident to the manager and have the manager become more aware with the way the servers treat their patrons, I also find it very rude when the servers give you your bill as soon as your food arrives, that is very messed up there and the patrons shouldn't have to worry about the bill up until when they're almost done eating.

I used to eat at Shari's all the time and their customer service isn't as good compared to some of the other restaurants in town, I don't really like Shari's all that much anymore.

I think all restaurants take the bill to your table as soon as you finished the meal.

Either It was poor customer service or you got a a lazy waitress, she was rude by telling you "she doesn't like it when people are calling her when she's on her way to help another customer" That what she is there for.. she should've answer I'll be with you in a moment, not give you faces or attitudes, you should've talk to the manager or just no tip and never come back there..

Yeah, that was pretty much poor customer service, She was OK in telling you she would be right there, except for the attitude part. But she was off base complaining to you that she didn't like being interuppted, she is there to serve and if she is overloaded she should dump on her boss, not you. I think you were pretty generous tipping her, if I get lip from a waiter or waitress, they lose the tip!

At least she apologized but she needs to remember that she is a waitress and her first duty is to serve her customers. Her own likes and dislikes don't matter. I would ask the server to hold the check until I was finished. I would also be going to a different restaurant.

Undoubtedly yes, she had no reason to yell at you when you've nicely asked her for a refill and I don't blame you for letting your server know that you need a refill when your glass was empty, if she's not paying any attention to you then she's not doing her job properly, I also don't like it when my servers drop the bill along with my food, like you it makes me feel like I'm being rushed.

the attitude is way out of line. waiting tables is a lot like acting no matter how rude you are to her( not that you were) she should grin and bear it. that is her job. as for giving u the check with your meal some places that is policy it helps turn over. gets you to leave quicker. she may not have had a choice in that. if it happened almost every time, then i would bet they have to. some places are just like that.

It is poor customer service.

You should not have tipped unless you ejoy getting poor service. And you should have went to her manager to report her or at least wrote a letter to the company.

The bill is what it is. Just thank them and continue to enjoy?? your dining experience ...
