I did put up a proper bird table but have had to dig it up as we're putting a lawn down soon, so for the time being we're back to a broom handle with a couple of feeders hanging from hooks. Mostly it's bluetits and greattits that visit and blackbirds and starlings forage on the ground below. The greattits are very cocky and think they own the place but are fun to watch. There is birdsong around here, despite I'm this close to an industrial estate. Plenty of magpies in Bradford too. Do you feed the birds then?

I live in Northern Georgia and the birds are singing such wonderful songs right now. Even at 3am there are birds singing in the bush by my deck. ( I know this because I have three dogs that can't seem to just sleep at night)

We have some that do. Most are pretty but one makes a really stupid sound that sounds like children screaming. i was forever looking for these shreiking kids and it turned out to be a damned bird. Love the the ones notes though, it repeats slow 3 times and then 3fast.

I'm from California and yes if I sleep in I can hear the birds sing...and to be honest it aint so pretty.

Yeah, sometimes I hear an owl like bird in the morning. Sounds just like an owls hoot.

I have lots of mockingbirds around. It's like having a full bird orchestra since they mimic everything they hear.

yes...i live in Palestine and i have alto of trees around my house and the sound so beautiful in the evening ...its really nice to listen to them....and anyway birds sing anywere..lol..dont they?
