O.K I have been best friends with someone for a year or so, but lately they started to keep away. Last night, I confronted them, and was terribly shocked when they said harsh things. I feel that I have been betrayed and stabbed in the back, but they are just too insensitive to feel!

All I need is whatever you can say to help me get over this crisis, if I am gonna get over it basically :((.

Thanks a lot for your time!!

Good riddance to someone who would betray you so readily, who needs a friend like that anyway???? I had a family member betray me in the worst way, i know what you feel like, it hurts, but consider yourself lucky to be rid of them.

Sorry to hear that your friend was so hurtful. If your friend had any problems during the past year that you were together, they should have voiced them, at the time they happened. A good friendship is based on communication. If there are things that happen, where something is said or done, to one another that is bothersome, they should be talked about immediately. When people keep issues inside, and do not discuss them with each other right away, it is inevitable that a big blowup will occur. I think that is what happened with you and your friend. If something was bothering her/him they should have come forward and discussed it with you, instead of keeping it to themselves. Small issues when not cleared up, or dealt with can lead to major problems down the road. Good friendships take work, and it sounds as though you were being taken advantage of. True friends can disagree, but respect each others opinion. Find some friends that are more like yourself, more open to communicate, and befriend people who are not so self-centered, or cruel.

It is hard getting over being betrayed that way. You WILL get over it. I believe that if you will think back, this person has probably not ever been a real friend to you. She (or he) probably has been jealous of you the entire time of your friendship. That is the only thing I would think that would cause this person to turn on you that way. He or she has probably been holding in resentment for a long time. This person probably cannot ever be a real friend to anyone.

Hopefully you did not share too many confidences with this "friend." Be a little more careful the next time and you will find a good, sensitive friend.

You sound like a kind, sensitive person. I am sure there are many people who would love to be friends with you.

if a "freind" does this they were no friend to start off with... unless there is more too the story try finding out what is behind all the nasty behaviour there is a chance that it could be crossed wire or someone has said something that involves you in a bad way(i have found this alot before and a good talkin and a slap of the sh** stirrer sorts it out)

Good look if they are jus generally bein nasty tell um too jog on your better off with out friends like that
