If sending in the troops doesn’t work, just send in more. If throwing money down a hole doesn’t work, toss some more down there. If having faith in the Iraqi government gets you nowhere, why, then, trust ‘em with more.
Bush isn’t just staying the course, boys and girls, he’s staying it with a vengeance. His promise to consult with members of both parties? Total bullshit, unless, by consult, you mean bringing a few in the day of the speech and telling ‘em what you’re going to say.
And already the Whatever Bush Says boys are out there with the same old ‘you’re either with us or you’re against us” mantra. Bush says, This is How We’ll Win. Anybody who disagrees wants to lose.
But what’s this … the strict party lines are a little, shall we say, ragged. At least six Republican senators, for example, have already voiced their opposition to the idea of boosting troop levels in Iraq. Does that mean that Gordon Smith, Susan Collins, Norm Coleman, George Voinovich, Chuck Hagel and Sam Brownback all want the United States to lose in Iraq? Or do they just have a different idea of what “winning” might actually mean?
And when Bush’s new plan, which he tells us is an Iraqi plan, when it fails … who’s going to take the blame then? Will the administration blame the Iraqis? It was “their” plan, after all. Or maybe it’ll be the nay-sayers fault. They didn’t all come together to back the president, you know. Or maybe it’s the darn media’s fault for not showing the war in a more positive light.
It won’t be the administration’s fault, of that we can be quite certain. The administration, you know, recognized its mistakes and made the necessary changes to win.
That might sound good on paper, but it’s just not true. Bush isn’t making any changes. He’s just tryin’ to put out a fire with gasoline.

George Bush is a terrible communicator, and hasn't adjusted to the reality of the Information Age. But he was right to invade Iraq. The only liars here are the anti-Bush lobby. News Flash - There were WMDs! Iraq was trying to put together a Nuke program! Iraq had developed long range missiles to deliver WMDs! Fewer Iraqis have died during the last four years of US occupation than in the previous four under Saddam! More Americans died on one day - Sept 11 2001 than in any one YEAR in Iraq! There are over 150,000 troops in Iraq every day, and the insurgents can only manage to kill one or two! Why would we snatch defeat from the arms of victory? Lets finish what we started and prove to the world that we won't back down from a fight.

This president behaves like a dictator he is going to do whatever he wants no matter what the majority wants pretty soon voting will be eliminated and crazy people like Bush will be able to do anything he wants without anyone's permission. The president is far better then most.
The war in Iraq is no longer a "war" and thats why people see no way to "win".
The war with Iraq is over and we did win. The "operation enduring freedom" is just that, a military Operation. There is no war because there is no set enemy. The operation is to help the government in Iraq become stable and self sufficient. Until that is done there is no end. But with our military, political, and monetary aide it will happen. We just can not leave untill this is accomplished.

George Bush is a lying, arrogant, incompetent fool.
He has weakened our military, increased the threat of terrorism world wide, gotten us embroiled in a civil war, outed a CIA agent as an act of political revenge which has weakened our intelligence gathering capabilities, and spent more money than a drunken sailor in a whore house.
He will go down as the worst president in history.
He should be tried for treason against the Constitution.

I don't think Bush is perfect, FAR from it, but I do admire someone that doesn't let opinion polls dictate his presidency.
Sometimes you have to do things that are not popular for the better good. It is akin to being a parent, sometimes you have to do things that don't make sense to your kids, but you do it out of love or to protect them.
I just have a hard time imagining this evil, sinister oil-soaked, smoke filled room with dark entities leading us into oblivion, but, heh, if that is your thing, more power to you. I think no president wants to be remembered as the most unpopular president in history, but if he feels his country is more importatnt than his reputation, he is alright by me.
Sacrifice is a key component to being a good leader afterall.

Like I said at the beginning, any administration where you have a Bush and a Dick as president and vice president is doomed to failure. There is nothing Bush has done positive for this nation. I can understand making a mistake electing him in 2000, but shame on Republican America for re-electing him!

Give it another few months and we will be in Iran too.
George Bush lied to get us into Iraq. And just now they are admitting that Iraq is in civil war.
Everything surrounding this "administration" is based on lies.
