Are there any books/novels that are similar to Korean/Japanese drama?

or even similar to the manga, Fruits Basket? (please don't list mangas/comics)

They aren't novels... but early in the 20th century, William Butler Yeats wrote a number of plays in the style of traditional Japanese Noh theater. They shouldn't be too hard to track down.
