He has great numbers and was defensive player of the year. I also think he is big enough to play in the NFL and he also played at a big time school (Ohio State). I'm just scratching my head to wonder why no NFL teams have picked him up.

I understand that being from a big college football program is not always helpful in making the NFL

I don't think you can compare a QB to a DE when it comes to making the switch from CFL to NFL. The QB position is very different in the CFL.

Also I disagree with your idea that Johnson is too light to play NFL. Have you seen him (he is well built for his frame). I think he would be good in a 4-3 defense.

The fact that he went to Ohio State does not guarantee that he would make an NFL team. There are thousands of players on powerhouse teams at Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Florida, Texas, Nebraska, etc., who don't make it in the NFL. The fact that Johnson went to Ohio State, a school that gets major exposure here in the U.S., and isn't already on an NFL team should tell you that he doesn't have NFL talent, just like Ricky Ray, who is the best QB in the CFL, but couldn't cut it here. With NFL defensive ends and tackles being considered light at 270 pounds, and guys over 300 pounds running the 40 in 4.6, you'll pardon NFL teams if they aren't banging down the doors of slow, 265-pound, thirty year-old Canadians.

This could also be the Lions first sellout at Ford Field in contemporary weeks. Their final three house video games have been in the neighborhood blacked out, and I was once amazed to peer that this recreation offered out. I are not able to suppose that there is a well quantity of Lions enthusiasts who consider that they are able to honestly pull off the disappointed. I reside within the Detroit subject, and I was once being attentive to a neighborhood radio station the opposite day. People have been calling in pronouncing that it could occur. Here's what I consider: NOT A CHANCE. The Lions will likely be real embarrassed after trendy recreation. It may not also be near. Prediction: Tennessee 31, Detroit 10 Happy Thanksgiving!
