He got into Harvard with daddy's money and name. Just look at the admission requirements for Harvard and tell me he was qualified academically. He got out of military service because of daddy's money and name. He has the I.Q. of a dead plant a real mental pygmie.

I wouldn't call him bright, but he's probably not the dope that everyone makes him out to be either. Who knows, he probably goes along with that on purpose just so his enemies will underestimate him.
There's a difference between being dumb and just being willfully ignorant - I don't think Bush is dumb as much as he is anti-intellectual, and just isn't interested in thoughtful or intellectual pursuits. He doesn't read books, or study history, or think about the ramifications of what he proposes, and IMO that's not good.
Some here have commented on the fact that he has an Ivy League degree - folks, Bush is a **legacy student**. He got into the university because his dad and his grandfather were alums there. Not because of his SAT scores. As far as Kerry goes, he's not dumb either - he was busy playing protester and social activist when he was in college, and his grades show it. Neither one of them were what you would call focused students.

Remember before beeing president he couldn´t name the military dictator of Pakistan ?
He also asked which countries Wales belongs to
He spoke about grecians.... (he meant the inhabitants of Greece)
And I guess his geographical skills are just average compared to a random US citizen..
Not to mention any high school kid could have read the history of Iraq and taken a look at an ethno-lingustic map to guess what would happen... and probably guessed better

He is supposed to be. He has an MBA. The fact that he made it though Yale because of daddy's contributions shouldn't mean much. The way he talks one would certainly not think he is very bright. He makes decisions that bring his intellegence into question too. While he is not the brightest bulb in the Presidential Marquee he is not the dimmest either.

Bush is brilliant.
He outsmarted two little rich ruling class commie elitists: Gore & Kerry.
He got us working people tax cuts despite every Democrat in the country wanting to raise our taxes.
Cool!!!!!!

Just think - Bush did better at Yale than Kerry did. That means that all the Bush bashers voted for someone EVEN DUMBER! D'oh!!
