All of my browsed pages and searches are showing up in my search toolbar on Safari. I've seen similar questions but none of the answers have helped my specific problem. There are two search forms on the main toolbar, I figured out how to clear the small one on the right, but the big one that shows the webpages will not clear. I "cleared cache" already and "reset safari" and tried "private browsing" and there is nothing in my auto fill section and there are still a million web addresses saved in this toolbar that come up whenever one letter is entered. How do I clear this it's driving me nuts. I'm usually very computer savy but am new to the world of mac's. Please Help!

"well, there is only one search field in the toolbar, and that one is on the far right by default. It displays "google" in greyed out letters when not in use. to clear that directly, you can click on he magnifying glass button and select "clear recent searches."

It's not the google search bar I know how to clear that one. It's the large bar that shows the full web addresses.

Oh I understand now. you just have a lot of bookmarks. go to the bookmarks page (click on the little book on the bookmarks bar), go through all the links, and delete the ones you don't want. this will stop it from autofilling those links. remember though, autofill is your friend. it can save you a lot of typing.
