Why can't people open their eyes to the impending disaster that threatens mankind. Is it just political or are they really just that ignorant about the science of Global Warming?

I will let the ignorance of the flat-earth supporters speak for themselves...see below.

They have politicized the issue. Since they see it as a Liberal issue they feel like they need to disagree with it.
However they used to not believe in it at all. Now most at least say there is global warming. Some now are even admiting man has a hand in it. So slowly but surely reality is setting in on them. Its a conservatives nature to be slow to change anyway.

First, I guess I am a "flat-earther". I can buy that there is a warming trend. I have a hard time believing it is because of cow farts and air conditioners. Perhaps warming and cooling is part of the earths natural cycle. IF the evolutionists are right, the earth is BILLIONS of years old, and we have been monitering for 300 years...how do we know what is happening is not normal.

Here is what got me thinking about this. CFCs HCFCs - chemicals that supposedly delete the ozone by being released into the atmosphere, and interacting with the ozone layer- are heavier than air. Fill a balloon up with freon, and it falls. Fill it up with helium, and it rises. So, since it is obvious to me that that is bogus, it makes it hard for me to buy the whole story, with out looking at it logically.

Can you disprove that the warming trend could have been caused by the Tunguska meteor? Or some other event?

What science? Political lobbying isn't science. Where's the careful observation, the trial and error, the double blinds? Are we certain it's not just the recession of the previous Ice Age? We know from the fossil record that things have been much warmer than this, so why would it be a disaster if they returned? Why should our children be frightened about something that may or may not be a problem a millenium from now, simply because Chicken Little sounded the alarm? There are more tangible and immediate dangers. North Korea's been testing Nuclear Missiles.

Historically the world has gone though stages of Deep Freeze and Increased Warmth. This is nothing new, we have had more than one Ice Age, and after an ice age there is a period of Warming, and then Ice Age again, mind you this takes tens of thousands of years, and we are just seeing the warming up after the last Ice Age.

Humans are by far increasing the rate at which this Ice Age is pronouncing itself but that does not mean it was not go to happen later. Humans by far think that because we have brains and can put things together that makes us better than animals, which honestly animals live in this world with the world not trying to affect it to some end goal. The Humans in their myopic view will ultimately destroy the world. I just hope that I am not around when that happens. There are animals that are being driven out of this world by people, and sooner or later disease and such is going to combat.

God I hope America does the same thing! not to run on with this but it also has a pump about the size of a fridge! and converts water into hydro fuel. a perfect reusable fuel free of Chavez and radical terrorism

I agree. Al Gore and his ilk ARE the biggest threat to mankind since Hitler. Pointing out changes in solar energy output and global warming on neighboring planets has no effect on those too busy spouting political nonsense.

The flat-earthers are the gaia worshippers, who wish to sacrifice our childrens' future standard of living on the altar of their false god.

My God !!!

I just wish you had taken more care about education in the US. That´s all I can say.

I work in climate change mitigation and it appears that indians and chinese are much easier to go along. I just consider myself equal to them and that´s how we deal. No national pride, no ego, just a common need to work on some important questions.
I can´t do this with US citizens.
