I'm aware there are many different types of psychology and I don't know what kind I would prefer, just because I don't know them all.
I love to observe people and to know why they do things and why they react to certain things.
(for example) I was watching my friend and went into a big discussion why she colored the top of her staples green.
Anyone know what type I prefer?

If you are interested in observing people then social psychology may be a real interest for you. You should have the opportunity to study different areas of psychology as you pursue degrees, so I would say you should not lock yourself into any one area and explore a little. Hopefully you can find something you love with good career potential that fits your talents.

Go for abnormal or child psychology. There are enough messed up adults and children to keep your calendar filled 7 days a week.

it seems like sociology would be a good fit because its more about how people interact with others and their surroundings as opposed to how/why people think the way they do.
