In fact, congress is the group that is suppose to make sure that the presidant don't do anything wrong; so why shouldn't he answer to them and us through them.

Who decided that Congress is the most important branch of government?
First of all, the Congress is persons from individual States of the Nation. As a joint group they, perhaps, represent bits of those who elected them. BUT, the President is the only person/office voted on by the whole Nation. That is why he is the top person of our Country.
Senators think they are stronger and more important than the Congress. The Supreme Court has the final word of suits brought before them. The Congress can impeach, the Senate can stay the impeachment. All branches tend to police each other.
The President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. Remember that when you vote the next time around..
Every member of Government has a place to serve (as opposed to 'fight'). There are obvious trouble makers who've been in their position too long. Maybe that is the answer to your question.

I think your assumption that congress is the most important branch of government shows a lot of ignorance about the constitution, founding fathers, and the operation of your country in general. Maybe in steady of sharing your opinions in the forms of questions, you should learn how the government is supposed to work so that at least you sound like an intelligent person when you spout off.

Separation of Powers. The Congress would be ham stringing the President on every thing. If Congress should make all the decisions there would never be any made. Congress has over site of some of the Presidential Powers and he theirs with the veto.
