You can try looking over the words and read the definitions. Then try writing it over and over until it's stuck in your head. You can also ask someone to read the word and ask you what the definition is. If you get it wrong, the person should tell you what the definition is and then continue on with the other words, but after a couple of more words, bring up the word you missed again. It can be done the other way which is someone reading the definition and you giving the words.
Hope this helps!

well.. u need to find tricks to make you remember the word.. like cemetery is all e's.

I used to write the hardest words on my arm before a test so that every class beforehand, I looked at them and visualized them on my arm. Before the class, I would scrub all the marks off - and I mean all of them, I did not cheat, and during the test, I could visualize where every word was on my arm. It wasn't cheating, because it was in my mind.

Good luck..next time, study well in advance, a few words a day. The next day, before adding more words, go over the words you have already done.

A great way to memorize these words and their definitions would be to write a sentence for each word.
Not only will you know the meaning of the word, you also will not forget the word either.

Flash cards help a ton. Or find a relation that the word has with its rough definition (Example: if your word was the Spanish word acampar [to camp], you'd think "Well camp is in the middle of it, so it must be to camp.")

make a mnemonic

repeat them over and over
