Show her more modest types and say you won't change your attitude just because they way you dress. Show her these ones. They are way cute and pretty modest.

If all else fails find cute tankinis. There are some really cute ones here that aren't exactly modest!

Another Idea is to convince your mom to buy you a cover up to go with your swim suit so you don't have to be walking around in a bikini, just swimming in it!

GOOD LUCK! You may just need it. Remember: If you want your mom to treat you like an adult, ask her like and adult. Come up with some good points and remember to treat her with respect. That will work better than whining to her!!!

Honey: It is obvious that you are just trying to fit in with the crowd. Your mom knows this and is telling you what she believes is the right thing to do. I think that a tankini is much more becoming since your private parts are not to be seen in public and, given some of those "models" that are out nowadays, I would side with your mom if I were she.
Perhaps you could find a bikini that is a bit on the conservative side and show it to your mom. Who knows? She may see something of which she approves.
Overall, try to have a good attitude and realize that your mom was young once and in your situation. She understands more than you think.
Cheers,
Mr. M on "bikkini."

Well, if guys are looking, they'll look no matter what.
When I was 15, My mother was the same way, saying I could wear one when I was 18. So I went shopping with a friend, found the most modest bikinis and then brought my mother back with me to see me try them on. I saved my money to pay for part of it and guess what? I GOT ONE!

Well i like the idea of going to try them on, but trying on one that isnt too skimpy.. show her its not too bad.. and you could always try having a real nice mature talk with her.. tell her that you're getting older now and you should be able to make some of your own decisions because thats an important part of growing up.. something cheesy like that.. but no getting mad.

Tell her why you want to wear a bikini. Or if you have your own money, just buy one and wear it. You paid for it. (you didn't hear that from me ;-))
Maybe make a deal with her.
Sorry I can't help more, but I've never had this problem. I've been wearing bikinis since I was two.

how old are you? that might have something to do with it. also, look online, and show her the type of bikini that you want. explain to her that it doesn't have to be a string bikini, and there are different types that show different amounts of skin. for example, you could get a halter top and boyshorts, and that would cover more skin than a string bikini would.
hope this helps!

listen to your mom, she only cares about you, and hey I like tankinis! besides, what are the pros for a bikini anyway? when you wear a bikini, you are more likely to have your suit come undone.

Well ask her why she won't let you wear a bikini! Then talk about how you can earn her trust.
