Anything would help...interpretation skills, interpreting, and the like. Please provide as much info as possible on how to find the book; it can also be a peer reviewed article. Thanks.

Not sure if it will help with interpretation specifically but we used the book "Therapeutic Communication" by Paul Wachtel in a psychotherapy course. I found it helpful for a starter text.

Some schools of therapy thought do not use interpretation. Instead the focus is helping the client to interpret their own thoughts by thoughtful guidance. You may want to identify a therapeutic theory and start from there.
