My wife and I have a jointchecking account, which became became seriously overdrawn this past week(157.00), because she hasn't recieved payments from a business endeavour she started ( I also told her I thought this business idea was a bad idea, but I digress).

So she calls me at work to see about getting a loan to cover the overdraft (an idea we both dislike) so I do, I tell her it's taken care of and she gets pissed at me WTF???

One of the problems with starting your own business, or any business endeavor, is that it costs a lot of money. Ignoring the problem, however, isn't going to make your financial problems go away. First of all, if this is a long-term business endeavor, she should set up a business checking account separate from your personal checking account. This should help keep things a bit more cut-and-dry and organized.

Secondly, if you do her this favor and take care of it for her, generally she should be grateful - so why isn't she? Sometimes when women get mad, it has a lot less to do with WHAT you did, and more to do with HOW you did it. Did you do this grudgingly? Resentfully? Angrily? Saying "I-told-you-so" the entire time? Maybe she's already kicking herself, frustrated about what she did, and you're just heaping more guilt on her. People respond strangely to guilt -- some just get downright ANGRY.

Think carefully about what happened and what is going to happen in the future with this business endeavor, and then talk to her about how to mend hurt feelings AND how to ensure that something like that won't happen again.

Good luck!
