There is NO LAW WRITTEN ANYWHERE in the tax law, or anywhere else that states that we must pay income tax...

PROOF: Watch "Freedom to Fascism" FREE ON GOOGLE VIDEO

I understand that if you do not pay your taxes you will go to jail, but that is exactly what I am pointing out.

The tax law states nowhere that we must pay income tax, but if you don't you go to jail, that is called tyranny.

This is totally unconstitutional. Yet you people do nothing to put an end to it.

Join the countless thousands who have already begun a campeign to stop this tyranny.

Watch the damn video already: "Freedom to Fascism" and watch this acclaimed director ask the director of the IRS himself, who gives no answer to the question

Watch this video and become enlightened about the truth:

The film "Freedom to Fascism" is so disinformative that it should not be cite for proof of anything but the filmmakers agenda.

But don't take my word for it. From the NY Times:

"Facts Refute Filmmaker’s Assertions on Income Tax in ‘America’"

"...examination of the assertions in Mr. Russo’s documentary.. shows... they ... collapse under the weight of fact."

"Many of the reviews in major newspapers have accepted as having some factual basis the film’s main contention, ... even though every court that has ever ruled on these issues has upheld the constitutionality of the income tax.

"All of the federal income tax revenue, the film says, goes to these bankers to pay interest on the national debt, even though by the broadest measure the federal government’s interest payments are less than 40 percent of the individual income taxes"

"... Mr. Russo says ...that the Internal Revenue Service has refused every request to show any law making Americans liable for an income tax on their wages. ... Yet among those thanked in the credits for their help in making the film is Anthony Burke, an I.R.S. spokesman. Mr. Burke said that when Mr. Russo called him asking what law required the payment of income taxes on wages, he sent Mr. Russo a link to documents, including Title 26 of the United States Code, citing the specific sections that require income taxes be paid on wages. Title 26 says on its face that it is law enacted by Congress."

"..Arguments made in court that the income tax is invalid are so baseless that Congress has authorized fines of $25,000 for anyone who makes them..."

"... Mr. Russo says in the film that the 16th Amendment was never properly ratified and thus a tax on wages is unconstitutional. This claim has been made in various forms by thousands of tax protesters since 1913, and so far their batting average with the courts is .000.
To buttress the claim that the 16th Amendment is invalid, the film displays a quotation from a federal district judge, James C. Fox. But the transcript from which the judge’s words were taken shows that while he spoke those words, they were in the context of laying out issues and that the conclusion he reached was the opposite of the words quoted."

What you say might be technically true but legally and practically irrleavant.

There are legal precidents out the ying yang and if you study law you will realize that legal precedents in some cases carry more force than the law itself. Taxation of the public by the legislature is both legal and proper and constitutional. The fact that there is no specific federal law that proscribes punishment is irrelavant, except as an intellectual curiosity.

Don't take this to mean that the government is acting illegally in requring you to pay taxes, that is simply a crazy person's argument.

Yeah go on ahead and stop paying....I hoe your not a democrat...
The tax law is found in Title 26 of the United States Code.

Section 6012 of the Code makes clear that only people whose income falls below a certain minimum level do not have to file returns.
Sections 861 through 865 determine whether income is from a U.S. or foreign source - they do not in any way exclude income from taxation for a U.S. citizen or resident.
Section 6201 of the Code states that the Secretary of the Treasury is required to make assessments "of all taxes imposed by this title".
Constitution-Related Arguments

First Amendment
These arguments focus on using the Freedom of Religion clause of the First Amendment to reduce income tax liability. A common scheme calls for individual taxpayers to obtain minister's credentials and a church or religious order charter by mail for a fee. The individuals set up a new organization that purports to be a church, religious order, or other religious organization. They then take a "vow of poverty" and assign their assets and income to the new organization. However, filtering money through a purported church to fraudulently claim charitable contribution deductions is illegal. The tax law affords benefits to churches and other religious organizations and to those who make gifts or contributions to these organizations. The law requires, however, that such organizations actually be operated for religious purposes and not for the private benefit of individuals.

Fourth and Fifth Amendments
These arguments claim that filing an income tax return violates the Fourth Amendment right to privacy or the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. However, the courts have consistently held that disclosure of routine financial information required on a tax return does not incriminate an individual or violate the right to privacy.

Sixteenth Amendment
These arguments claim that the constitutional amendment establishing the basis for income tax was never properly ratified. However, the courts have held that none of the points presented undermine the fact that the Sixteenth Amendment was indeed ratified in 1913.

Yes I am aware of that. There have been many Supreme Court rulings that an unapportioned tax is not Constitutional. But if you don't pay them you'll end up broke and in prison. Just because something isn't law, doesn't mean they can't tell you what to do and punish you if you don't do it.

In that video he points out that there is no law requiring you to do it. He himself has said this wasn't an open invitation to NOT pay your taxes. Even though it has been illegal since 1913, and still is to this day.

The IRS has been challenged on this several times, and several times have lost cases because they couldn't produce the law in the tax code.

Absolutely not true. The definition of tax for one- the very act of levying a tax requires that you pay it. If a tax is on the books, you have to pay it.

This myth has been going around for a while, and it is absolutly false. If there is a tax placed on wages, you must pay it. That is the law, no ifs, ands or buts. It's definitional.

Don't pay your taxes then, no one is forcing you to pay your taxes.

The worst that can happen is that they come and take you away in silver bracelets. Heck you might even like that.
