The big thing is that you'll like your job more and be more open and creative.

If the opposite is true, you'll quickly turn to a negative cycle that will result in probably you finding a new job.....

It's important to get along with them, even if you don't necessarily like them because you spend sooo much time with them.

Most of your time is spent at work so if the only thing you don't like about your job is the people, you want to try to at least get along with them. It'll make the days pass quicker and getting along takes a lot less effort then being bitter about them.

It's also better for the soul. :o)

It isn't necessarily important to get along with them. It's important to work effectively with them. That doesn't mean that you all need to be pals or go to lunch together every day. It DOES mean that you respect one another's competence in your chosen field and trust one another to complete assigned tasks. It also means that you are able to confront one another directly if problems or concerns arise.
