thought it would happen this way. Any words of advice? What about the age difference? Do any women out there have a similar story? Thanks :)

My partner is 8 years older than me, and we met when I was 20. I never thought it would happen either. Age really doesn't make much difference... especially when it is within a decade. It all depends on maturity, and if you're at the same level, then I don't see why you can't try it out. Good luck.

Ten years difference ?? Not a big deal, especially in a field like medicine, where you don't get outta school until you're 25 or more. But, like you said, you have a couple of years of hard work ahead of you, so keep an eye on him, but keep an eye on your goal, also. If you get lucky, could have both. If he's got a clear goal, he'll see you are working towards something also - Another common area !!

Aww, that's awesome. I hope you two are happy together.

Any advice that could be given is pretty universal. Treat her right, respect her, love her. The age difference is nothing, imo. You guys are still part of the same generation, and you probably have the same general interests.

20 and 26 is not much of an age difference. if you are both compatable in terms of attitudes, values, wants and needs, ambition, etc, then go for it!

That is not a huge age difference. You both are in your 20's. Just be yourself.

THANK YOU GOD (OR GODDESS, OR POWERS THAT BE, OR WHATEVER...)

I am 22 and you would not believe the amount of women out there that refuse to date younger girls. I think as long as you fit together, as long as your maturity and personalities click, who gives a royal fig about your age.

Best wishes!
