ok.. if he has to use at least one of each he could go..
3 - quarters (.75), 1 - dime (.10), 2 - nickels (.10), and 3 - pennies (.03)for a total of .98 cents
or.. if he has to use a few coins as possible..
3 - Quarters (.75), 2 - Dimes (.20), 3 - Pennies (.03) also for a total of .98 cents.

Well he can use 3 quarters, 2 dimes, and 3 pennies. Also he can use 9 dimes 1 nickel, and 3 pennies. I hope this info helps! Good Luck! =) I'm 11 and 11 months! =)
